about this book: How many times have you sat at your keyboard with questions about some area of writing and wondered where you could get reliable information? Are you interested in joining an organization of writers or attending a writers conference? How do you interact with an editor or agent at the conference? All of these questions and more are answered in “Writing 101: A Handbook of Tips and Encouragement for Writers.”
“Writing 101: A Handbook of Tips and Encouragement for Writers” was a joint project with another author, my friend, Jo Huddleston. We wanted to share what we have learned through the years at writer’s conferences, workshops and through the actual writing process itself. We wanted the book to be a handy resource for writers to refer to as they work.
We divided the book into five sections, each containing 101 tips on jump starting your creativity, impressing an editor, improving your writing, attending conferences, and resources for writers. The book can be read cover to cover or referred to as needed, either way we hope it will be a timeless, informative resource for you.
